Notes about map hosting

I've hosted a fair amount of games, and taken notice of several things thta often confuse people.  Here's some tips or things of interest to new hosts.

1. Slots are always in the open state.  Hitting disable slot only disables the a.i.. People can still join that slot regardless of whether or not the a.i. is there.
2. When a player's name appears in the staging room, that means that they have connected to you, it DOES NOT mean they have connected to eveyone else.  Other players will see a player who is still joining as an a.i..  The solution here is to simply wait 30 seconds to a minute.  If nothing occurs after this point, then have them rejoin.
3. You will not be able to green in if; you are still connecting to other players, a player is still connecting to you.  When you attempt to do so, you will see the checkmark light up and the unlight.  You do not have to rejoin because of this.  You must simply wait.
4. Team options are often screwed up.  Sometimes a player only has the option of choosing between their current team and team 1.  If this makes him unable to be part of a specific team, simply have the other team go 2,3, or 4 and that guy's team go 1.
5. Be patient when launching games.  It was particularly bad on the first day, but slowly improving, however, someone leaving when it seems to "take too long" will crash the game and prevent it from working.  Give it a minute, then panic.
