That's pretty much the entire leagues opinion.

The entire league also thinks you're an idiot. Should we assume they are automatically right?

Easy Dece, i think we need to get you one of those stress balls, any time you feel like attacking another league player squeeze instead of typing.    Were all friends here :)

EDIT: And I don't think MightyDwarf is an idiot, and regardless of what they say, I am in fact part of this league. ;)

I don't think either, but i'll rephrase ... "most of the league". Is it better now?

P.S. Instead of posting stupidities here, CS would better respond to the 3 (THREE!) complains I have raised to the Head Admins because I wasn't happy with the answer from the RD Admin. A simple "fuck off! I trust my RD Admins blindily" would have been better than total silence. I don't mind ppl giving a shit about truth and justice, but completely ignoring me ... (or maybe I am not part of this league, so that would make MightyDwarf what?  ;D )

Actually, CS's remarks were spot on and made many people laugh out loud I'm sure. The idea of you quitting your own Ironman game is comical and really, given your track record, not that far-fetched.

You were suspended after we received more than a dozen complaints from members who were disgusted with your serial quitting and poor sportsmanship.  We're not talking one game, or two games, but many many games - perhaps most of the games you played. You expect thoughtfulness from others responding to your complaints? When did you show consideration to all those who played in the games you ruined, or people whose gameplay you berated as stupid?

You are talking about "truth and justice"?  Give me a break.  There is not one member of this ladder that bothered to rise to your defense after you received one of the longest suspensions I can recall anyone getting.

I'm sure we can all think of several people where a much shorter suspension generated a long thread with people defending them.  In your case, the silence was deafening. *NO ONE* defended you.   Wise up, and stop calling others who have given years to this ladder idiots and stupid.  Such name calling is so far beneath a #1 ranked player it's ridiculous.  Of all the #1 ranked players I've known in the ladder, you stand out, alright, but not in a good way.  You brought dishonor to yourself and to the title.  No one thinks you deserved the #1 rank because you got there through manipulation, such as constantly forcing scraps.

I'll tell you why CS didn't engage in a debate with you over your suspension.  He didn't want to stoop to your level.  I want you to know that your situation was discussed at length by the entire admin team (there must have been 40 emails at least) and the vote was *UNANIMOUS* to suspend you for 30 days and to drop you 250 skill points.  It was the most egregious case of quitting and poor sportsmanship I can recall in the more than 7 years I've been involved with the CIVPLAYERS ladder league.

It's clear from this thread that you are still in denial over both your actions and the opinions others hold about you.  That's sad.  Anyone with a shred of decency in your situation would apologize to the ladder and vow to try to change and be better in the future.

I'm sure you'll blast back at me too instead of taking this criticism to heart and accepting your punishment like a man. But you've acted like the Ladder Bully for way too long and it's time somebody finally called you on it.

Well all I can say is I don't feel like playing Ironman with you again Dece, since we let you in on our ironman the other day... only to have you quit again.

League game or not, I want to play with players who'll make every attempt to finish the game. Not force scrap or quit.

SPM,
As an admin you do not play by the same rules as the rest of us.  We trust that you be an imparcial judge.  This is not appropirate.  Do not jack Decimals thread to bash him.  If you have a personal grudge against him then resign as an admin and pursue it.  As long as you represent this league keep your mouth shut in open threads.

CS,
Shame on you for letting this happen.  Please keep your dog on a shorter leash.

Decimal,
I am not your biggest fan either.  You asked for this by responding to the admins inappropriate remarks in your thread.  I suggest in the future you take the high road and ask them to take their poor remarks to themselves and that bashing you in public is not cool.  You are doing your time and expect that to be enuf.

P.S. Instead of posting stupidities here, CS would better respond to the 3 (THREE!) complains I have raised to the Head Admins because I wasn't happy with the answer from the RD Admin. @spm

Threads about ppl being suspended were started by the very same suspended people complaining about being unjustfuly suspended. Then the league members posted their oppinions for and against.
I didn't start such a thread. Your conclusion? ... nobody cares about me.

FYI frequent drops are not quits. I'm not saying anything else, I didn't comment on your decision and I don't want to start now as I really needed the time off. But I'm tired of your prejudice and would have expected more from you.

People complained, I didn't and don't care what they complained about, it wasn't always black and white, I could have defended myself, I didn't, I could have started complaining on the forums, I didn't. All I did was send the admins one email thanking them for the box time and explaining them what actually happened. And that only because some admins told me, off the record, about what was coming. Nobody from admin team bothered to ask me for my side of the story. I didn't actually care, I welcomed the suspension, but I thought you deserved to know the truth.
So, I sent you all an email.
But, it seems that you didn't even bother to read that email

I am dissapointed in you. Since I am the league bully (as you so graciously put it); people don't expect much from me and maybe I've even got accustomed to not giving them reasons to.

But you, well, that is another story :( and the league expects or should expect something else from you. Your post reminds me of 12 Angry Men. Honestly.

P.S. It seems that the above is not only my point of view, I just saw Ape's post.

P.P.S. Well Ape, actually you're damn right.

Quite some bold statements you make there SPM.

Actually, CS's remarks were spot on and made many people laugh out loud I'm sure. The idea of you quitting your own Ironman game is comical and really, given your track record, not that far-fetched.

I concede that Dece does quit more often than necessary, but he is not the only one doing it. His problem is he plays too much, and too much random noob anc ss, where he gets too quickly annoyed with the game situation and poor play of his team sometimes. The pause will do him good, as he said himself.

That said if you put on such a high standard for the #1 ranked player I'm sure that standard should hold even more for the league head admin - and I don't think it's his place to hijack a thread that had nothing to do with dece's suspension in the first place and play the smart ass with his wisecracks, however funny you thought it was. But I guess you think it's fine that league admins enjoy a good laugh on the cost of a player. Actually the remark of CS was as funny as thinking of you as a good player and good admin.

He asked for thoughtfulness from the admins over his complaints because it's your job to consider it. A criminal doesn't receive less consideration to his legal remedy just because the court of the first instance thinks he's guilty. And the assumption that dece quit most of the games he played is really hilarious with a player who has more than a thousand wins on the ladder. Sometimes I wonder if you really think about what you're writing.

True, but he didn't complain about the suspension either. Without CS butting in and you writing this lenghty post we wouldn't even discuss about it.

That's actually one of the boldest remarks you ever made. That dece climbed to #1 has nothing to do with manipulation at all. And you should stop speaking as you were voicing the opinion of the entire league, just because you think it is the right opinion. Dece may quit a game, but I'm sure that in the middle of an anc ss or classical game most players would rather have him on his team than let's say... you or CS or any other of the very rule-abiding, but bad players. In the end, most players on the ladder want to win the game, and they'll rather play with a player who gives them a high chance of doing so. And I don't think you really can judge the skill of a player because, frankly, you suck at the game (ya ya, I know, former #1).

I rather think it's because a) CS didn't even get the point and b) because CS seldom answers any requests of review for admin decisions. At least it was that way last year.

Why should he care? He'll be back in the top 10 in no time despite the skill drop, and people will still play with him and rejoice to see him shuffled into their team (see above, yes, people like to win).

He didn't complain about the suspension publicly, and didn't lose a word on it until CS and you started to come up with it in this very thread. What more do you want? Maybe he should just turn the other cheek as well and be grateful for any bashing remark. At least that's what you seem to think. You've acted like the Admin Comedian for way too long, but unfortunately nobody calls you on it, because CS simply doesn't care.

@Dece: Just play less (and less random anc ss with noobs) and all will be better. Trust me buddy. :)

Dece quit his own Ironman (which he spent a week arranging) - hahaha you couldn't make this stuff up.  I would personally unbox dece purely on comical grounds
