This is making a problem out of a nothing IMO ... The system is working well (or as well as it can); really can't see a reason to change it.

That´s 60% unconfirmed and it takes you 41 hours to confirm on average in those cases you actually do it.

My last match against you you didn´t confirm at all - only 2 other did - and it got auto confirmed after 3 days. Yet, you post daily on this site.

this is fairly easy: reduce the work load for admins by reducing the hours for possible confirmation to 24 hours. Noone needs to bother about people that don't confirm games or people that try to keep their streaks alive by not confirming etc. Noone should waste a minute of his life to administrate that.

The thing is that you don't get anything from confirming games and that is why people don't do it. The only thing you can do is give a rating (wow!) which is totally flawed - Imagine, even anc ss warrior death kills get an average of 5 stars.

And how would you change it? Give every player the possibility to rate other players behavior and the chance to give a short comment if needed.

5 options: "++" / "+" / "neutral" / "-" / "--"

If you use "-" or "--" you have to state why. Use the average to display the player's behavior in his league profile.

the 3 day auto conf delay is here wih reason
1. fake reports
2. wrong reports
3. many other situations eg...
no1 checking loby if ZzZZ is there ...

if those reports will be confirmed fast it will be resulting
with more working for admins  :P
but any way they need some job except, impo, hes working enuf...

for good kids like me who reporting fast reward will be
'medal of reporting' each year and oposite those
non repostes eg cant be candidate for hall of fame...
and reward them with some type of ugly medal
eg 'medal of fagot'

Yes the current system doesn't cause the admins any additional work, and Lestat is right if we reduced the time to autoconfirm it would cause more work for the admins as players would not get the chance to decline incorrect reports.  I can certainly discuss larger penalities for cronic non-reporters, but I'm not sure that would enhance the league at all.  Perhaps a "positive re-enforcement" system would be better.  Something like rewarding people with 60% and above confirmation rates(over a month) with 20 skill points or something.......thoughts?  Details are of course just examples and can be tweaked easily.

20 skill points a bit high. I bet it would make a big difference for just 5 skill points a month for 65% + confirmation. :)

Thing is, it doesn't matter how small the benefit, people will do something if there is some benefit. Right now, it's actually a benefit to rank-mongers to not confirm their matches. If there is some small benefit the other way, the tide will turn the other way in a pretty dramatic fashion.

Someone started a rumour a while back that if you were the one who reported the match, you got more skill points. From there on, you never had to worry about reporting a game if Decimal was in it because he'd race to report every time.  ;D

Now that the page has been updated so everyone can see that everyone gets the same ammount of points in a teamer, that rumour has been proven false. It doesnt matter though, since now a few have been trained to report every game right away.

The point is, that just the idea that there is some small benefit to doing this task will make people do it, no matter how small the reward.

60% is good!

I just don't see the big deal about getting your report on a Monday or a Tuesday ... If you really want a fair system, remove confirmation then all reports are reported in order - everyones a winner!

Cant remove confirmation altogether, Tony.. People need to be able to double check the accuracy of the report.

60% and 41 hours is bad to horrible.

The reports are basically made in order since the report is based on the skill and rd during reporting, not confirming. Only difference is that the calculations after that are also based on the current skill and rd, not the one you´d be having had the previous game been confirmed already.

I played a cton some hours ago. Five players, I was 3rd.
The game is reported by mike; I wanted to confirm, but there is some thing that
do not let me do it; the usual confirm box not there.
