Hey, Guys!

A Multi-Team Demo Game 3 (MTDG3 for short) is forming at CFC. I want to invite the League guys to form a team around the dedicated players and sign up for it.

To those who dont know what this MTDG thing is, I can say that this is a Civ4 BTS 3.19 game, played on pitboss between few (5-6) teams consisting of 5-10-20 players each where the players discuss, argue if need be and vote or simply decide what the best course for their team is and then a turnplayer (or several of them) play the actual turn. Collective brainstorming, multiple opinions, democratic voting, between-team diplomacy - all those are used to make sure the team develops best and at the end eventually wins the game by one of the conditions.

There will be a mapmaker and admins for the game.

For now we expect at least two teams from civfanatics and one from realmsbeyond. Apolyton guys are forming another too.

Here is the original organization thread http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=436398

So, come on you WPC, get up, gather yourself and field a team to compete for the glory of The League and prove where the best Civ4 fighters are. Fun, glory and fame awaits all those who join!

Well I certainly do encourage our Civ4 players to take part in this, I'll do some networking and see if I can find a team captain first to form a team around for CP.  We have always done well in these ISDG in the past going back to Civ3 PTW.

I'm willing to participate on behalf of civplayers, if I have some help organizing the effort.

I also would like to take part in this.

If you have time OT, I'd like you to be the Capt of our team and organize the other volunteers.  And of course post at CFC that you are the Capt of the Civplayers Team.

When we have more of a team I'll create a hidden sub-forum for your discussions.  I know there are lots of ideas that the the other teams already have for game settings....SP centric of course and we need to influence those as much as possible....

I can be captain if nobody objects or have better candidate. I dont feel being very good at SP settings or diplomacy, like tech trading, pacts and etc. Settings are still discussable, right?

I have a great understanding of SP and MP tactics. So either way I think we will have a great chance at forming an informed opinion on strategy. But, I think we should interject our opinion into the rules of the game. In the past I know what strategies, [leader, civilization, tech paths worked most effectively] and I think we will be able to perform well. I think you will be a great captain Ot4e, and I'll help you with anything you need help with.

I'm up for the game as well.

And we couldn't find a better captain other than ot4e. The captain needs to hold the team together, he can appoint a Foreign Affairs Minister for diplomacy and such, doesn't need to do all by himself.

Look what he managed to do with RUS. We all play(ed) with their players and I could only point out a few, but when it came to CCC team games, they were a force! And you only have ot4e to blame for it!  ;)

Thank you for you trust, guys. I will consider it in distributing ministry chairs :P

They are currently debating about simulateneous turns rules. Strange thing that there is still no good solution for tise problem. We had allready run few pitbosses having gentlemen agreements on double moves. I cant say that it was definitually successful. Any suggestions?

About tactics. I have sometimes very specific view, hope we will more cooperate than argue.

Yes OT4E has my complete confidence as well as do the rest of the volunteers here.  I've posted in the CFC thread supporting OT4E as well.  And I encourage you guys to all take part in that discussion as well, we do need to have our input into the design of this game for sure.

Of course I prefer to know and discuss settings before entering anything. But what I currently see is only large discussion about double moves rules. It is important but i dont  think that we need to enforce something if we dont have 100% way to fix the problem. I mostly only care for every team to treat rules in the same way.

Is anything specified yet? I havent read all the 10 pages of that thread, to be honest. Are any settings or teams determined allready?
