We are also working on a new Civplayers Web site that should be up and running by the fall, as this one has a really old code base, so we need to create something new with 2017 programming tools.

Come one, come all,

This Friday, on June 9th at 8pm EST, the Damage Incorporated (DI) Civilization 6 Division is hosting a stream of the new upcoming full conversion mod made by DI. It will be a 6-player game with some veteran civ community players we have invited from Civ Player League.

Come enjoy a bit of lobby simulator and some good ole fashion civ multiplayer, but with a new meta of game play on our twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/damage_incorporated).



This mod of Civilization 6 was inspired by the NQ mod of Civilization 5 that we, in the civilization community, all know to have revitalized the game itself more than a few times. I have spent the past 4 plus months learning and creating a mod with the help of a group I built within a clan named Damage Incorporated. Our clan's Civilization 6 Division helped inspire me to test various changes to the base game and inspire new reworks of the many facets of Civ 6.



The list of changes to base game include 5 major reworks:

1. The Naval Rework rebalancing naval unit strength, production, and coastal city management.

2. The Religion Rework rebalancing pantheons, beliefs, and the importance of faith / religion.

3. The Government Rework rebalancing policy cards, governments, and legacy/initial governement bonuses.

4. The Civ Leaders Rework rebalancing almost all of the civ leaders and bringing Scythia and Gilgamesh back into multiplayer games.

5. The Base Game Rework rebalancing tall vs wide city building strategies, early game mechanics, tech tree, civics tree, scouting, yield tiers, and so much more.

Brothers and sisters of the Civilization Community, I am implore you to come watch the new meta of Civilization as it evolves and grows to expand the game beyond the current meta, we have all grown so tired of. yeah that could work, all except that religion part tough :). That would mean if we reduce the DOF and crusader bonuses to 5 as i suggested, and add your change, we will be at too big a difference vs a player who doesnt have religion :).

Sounds good.

On point 3, instead of removing the 50% off unit upgrade its better to nerf it to 25%.

Egypt heavy chariot cost to be just a bit more than a horseman, 10-20% percent more (now its almost double).
Also increase river production for wonders and district to 20% from 15%

Stepwell ( get the +1Housing upgrade earlier instead of needing Sanitation tech)

Maybe improve wonder production civic cards to 20% instead of 15% ?

Also an random idea, to improve religion overall. When you have founded an religion have +2-3 combat strength near friendly cities when attacked by other civilizations that doesn't have an major religion. So players who invest a bit in religion can defend from others that build armies early on.

I will add one more thing, since my last game was a 4V4 teamer and steve really did a good job defending vs me even tough he lost his cap and was in a bad situation. My only comment is:

People should play ffa games like that, as if all the other players except the guy fighting you are your teammates!

Too many people give up very early in war, or dont build military at all. That would increase quality of ffas a great deal.

Also again my point about gold power in this teamer game, prebuilding low tier units and just upg all for no cost whatsoever. Its enough to build few commercial hubs and gg rly. No need to go for production or something. Unit upgrade too cheap.

To increase the security on Discord we require everyone link there steam ID to their discord profile, you must be using the Discord App to do this, the web browser will not work.






And of course you have to join our myleague leader-board site so that we can record all your gaming history.

Linking your steam ID and joining the league are the minimums you must complete to be given the League Role on our Discord Server so you can gain access to all the Staging Voice chat rooms and enjoy all the games.

It is also useful to join our Steam chat group as that is the best place to join and hotjoin on the hosts.

Good post Grim.  I will say one thing,  Your point 5 is already against the rules, there is nothing in the rules that allows people to talk about the game in a vote for CC in AW.  And if people are doing that they are breaking the AW rules and should be reported.

And AW vote should be a vote and nothing else.

I'm planning on setting up a dedicated server for Pitboss mode for around 8 players with all expansions. What specs do the server need to have? Minimum, recommended? Can I run the civ server on Linux or do I need Windows?
